The Intermediate General Body Meeting (IGBM) of NASA India was held at Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab, from 7th to 9th March 2025. The three-day gathering brought together representatives from architecture colleges across the country to assess organizational progress, deliberate on financial matters, and plan for the upcoming 67th Annual NASA Convention (ANC). Opening Session The meeting formally commenced with a welcome address by the host institution, introducing delegates to the objectives and agenda of the IGBM. Jury members and representatives of the host team were also presented, setting the stage for transparent discussions and productive deliberations in the days ahead. Reports & Financial Transparency The first full day of proceedings centered on organizational updates and financial accountability. The host team presented reports detailing preparations for the Annual NASA Convention, alongside financial updates covering fund utilization, payment processes, and key timelines. These reports provided delegates with clarity and promoted a culture of transparency within the organization. In the afternoon, attention turned to the budget proposal for the 67th ANC. Delegates engaged in rigorous discussions, questioning the proposed allocations and offering constructive suggestions to ensure resources would be managed effectively. The session reflected NASA India’s democratic approach, with active participation and healthy debate shaping the direction of the convention’s planning. Extended Deliberations & Outcomes On the final day, discussions continued with a focus on budget allocations, accommodations, and guest management. This was followed by end-term reports from the Zonal Council, where representatives reflected on achievements and challenges encountered during their tenure. The most notable outcome of the IGBM was the non-approval of the ANC budget. The General Council concluded that the proposal lacked sufficient details and a structured plan from the host institution. As a result, it was decided that a follow-up online meeting would be scheduled to finalize the budget and complete the Executive Council’s end-term reports. Conclusion The IGBM 2025 at LPU proved to be a vital platform for review, accountability, and forward planning. While the ANC budget remained unresolved, the discussions highlighted critical gaps and ensured that corrective steps would be undertaken in the coming months.
