History is not just to be learned, but to be explored.

Hyderabad, the city immersed in its rich vibrant cultural heritage, has an incredible skyline and historical monuments always fascinating with their unique style of construction, intricate carvings, and materials used.

The city recently observed its heritage getting witnessed by its people via VIRSA KI TALAASH

- 2.0, an interactive architectural treasure hunt, an initiative to explore the city’s rich heritage by traveling across the multiple destinations, connecting with people, and decoding and understanding the essence of architectural marvels.

INTRODUCTION

Virsa ki Talaash is introduced as a playful, socially interactive, yet educational treasure hunt. This year we have witnessed the second phase of this exciting set of multiple Treasure Hunts, where students were divided into different sets of teams scattering across multiple locations, hunting down the unknown treasure hidden in the most historical yet magnificent spots in the city.

The event raised the spirit of learning and understanding the essence of the structures and the design principles, including a strong interaction among 70+ students.

Participating units - Z501,Z514,Z515,Z523,Z529,Z532,Z540,Z547,Z560,Z564,Z565.

THE TREASURE HUNT

The theme “SHAHI NISHANIYON KI KHOJ” was to understand and interact with the simple yet intricate design principles of the monuments, their essence and beauty with a deciphering treasure hunt.

The event began with a division of a set of different groups, including people from different semesters and units reaching out to different locations in the city like

As everyone reached the entry spots, people were explained the distinct treasure hunts and activities to be performed, and to raise the bar of excitement, there was a list of clues set at different locations at different parts of the locations.

The treasure hunt was divided into a series of multiple hunts like

Texture Hunt

Find the missing pieces

Color hunt

The teammates disperse themselves into multiple subgroups to complete the hunt, and the people start the search of the pieces and textures with the help of different clues, which were given to them and were interconnected with each other and were hidden at the spots that had the heritage and the distinctive design principles embedded in them.

CONCLUSION

At the end of the day students came together at the final destination, the “QUTUB SHAHI TOMBS," where they reflected on their day and did the final activity, “COLOR HUNT." People scattered around the gardens and completed the activity by taking a lot of great pictures, deciphering the elegance of the monuments and nature, and completed the puzzle by joining all the pieces together.

VIRSA KI TALAASH - 2.0 wasn't just a fun activity; it turned out to be a great learning experience for the students who understood the long-lasting legacy, elegance, culture, and history that was observed in depth and their ancestral heritage, which made the simple Hyderabad the largest capital of the Deccan Plateau. "By promoting exploration through an interactive approach, we encourage young minds to learn and engage, enabling them to create stories that can be passed down to future generations."
