“NASA” — the word itself gets me geared up, for something special, something exciting, something new. It has instilled in me a deep sense of respect and leadership. Becoming the Unit Secretary of Z308 made me feel proud and privileged.
When NASA first came to my college, it created a unique bond among students and faculty alike. For a brief time, NASA activities were discontinued due to internal issues. When management decided to re-initiate NASA, the time came to select a new UD and USec.
One evening, I was called by my HOD — completely surprised and nervous. I was offered the role of Unit Designee. At first, I hesitated, unsure if I had the managerial skills to handle the position. My HOD trusted me, encouraged me, and convinced me to take it up. That day became a milestone — the day I officially stepped into NASA.
Gradually, I learned the ropes, understood my responsibilities, and made friends at my first NASA program — the 58th Annual Convention. In the 59th year, I was promoted to Unit Secretary. Now, the real test began. My determination was clear: one day, Z308 would make it to the victory list.
I lived NASA every day, every hour. I constantly checked emails, ensured everyone knew about events, and motivated students to participate. My aim as a USec was simple — bring laurels to the college and unlock the potential of my fellow students. The journey was not easy. At first, there was opposition and criticism, but I stayed focused, calm, and positive. Gradually, students started responding to my efforts, and that gave me the confidence to push further.
With each ANDC and event, the NASA spirit grew stronger in our college. By the end of my tenure, I had not just learned leadership — I had become a better, more understanding person.
Even after moving on, NASA has remained a part of me. I continue to contribute whenever I can and hope for the association’s continued growth and success. Thank you, NASA India, for unforgettable memories. I will always remain proud to have been a #USec for NASA India.
