64th Zonal Council Meeting – A Virtual Success

The 64th Zonal Council Meeting of Zone 4 was successfully held from the 28th to the 30th of August. In light of the ongoing threat of Covid-19, the meeting was conducted virtually through Google Meet, with sessions scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. on each day.
The meeting witnessed active participation, with 15 members, 13 observers, and representatives from 4 new colleges in attendance. Notably, the Zonal Presidents of Zone 4 Shruti Mishra and Zone 6 Eric Alan, along with members of the Executive Council, were also present.
A wide range of agendas were brought forward for discussion. Key points included deliberations on the Constitution and its new draft, as well as an exploration of the structure and functioning of the Association. The Zonal Report for the 63rd year was presented to all attendees.
Several formal activities took place during the meeting. E-certificates were awarded to shortlisted entries, while improvements to the website and its functionality were discussed. Members’ doubts and concerns regarding the Association’s operations were clarified, and plans for future endeavors of both the units and the zone for the 64th year were laid out.
Despite being conducted online, the 64th Zonal Council Meeting proved to be an absolute success. The strong sense of presence among attendees and units fostered constructive discussions and resolutions. The enthusiasm and zeal displayed by the units reflected their commitment to ensuring that the 64th year would be a productive and successful chapter for Zone 4.
